The Special Security Unit (SSU) is one of the Sindh Police’s most specialized units, renowned for its distinctive operational capabilities. Combining security and counterterrorism functions with exceptional precision, accuracy, and professionalism, the SSU was established on October 18, 2010, realizing the vision of then President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari. Initially tasked with safeguarding important Personalities and Vital Installations, the SSU’s role has expanded in response to evolving security challenges. Dynamic leadership, dedicated personnel, and a forward-thinking approach have solidified the SSU’s reputation as a leading force within the Sindh Police.

Due to a tragic incident in Karachi, the Mr. Ironman Pakistan 2026 Bodybuilding Competition has been postponed. In light of the current situation, we believe it is appropriate to pause and stand in solidarity with those affected. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the victims and their families.
We sincerely thank all athletes, partners, sponsors, and supporters for the overwhelming interest, trust, and enthusiasm shown toward this event. Your support means a great deal to us, thank you for your understanding and continued support.

The SSU is primarily responsible for safequarding designated Important Personalities, and the broader public within Sindh Province. Our dedicated Officers provide comprehensive security measures, ensuring the protection of high-profile individuals and the overall safety of the community. With a commitment to excellence, the SSU plays a pivotal role in maintaining law and order within the province.
The SSU strictly adheres to the policy of merit, transparency, non-discrimination and fairness in the recruitment. In implementing this policy in letter and spirit, the SSU takes all necessary steps from advertisement of vacancies to final selection.
